Breathing and Mental Concentration

In spirituality, there are number of exercises available that help enhance the mental concentration. These exercises help reduce the flow of negative thoughts, which in turn lessens the mental confusion. When these extra exercises are done along with the Muraqaba (Sufi meditation) the mind gains the needed mental focus ahead of time and the positive effects of Muraqaba emerge earlier as well.

Although there are plenty of these exercises available, here we are going to discuss breathing, as its success rate is also great.

Just when you thought you had all the fun you could possibly handle with Saddam Hussein, North Korea, Al Quaeda and the winter that just won’t die, along comes SARS ? severe-acute respiratory syndrome.

I recently fielded a call on this subject from one of my biggest fans: “You moron. What do you mean we can fight SARS with our heads? Can’t you see? We are all going to die. Die. Die, I tell you.”

You’re familiar with the phrase, “there’s the rub,” meaning “there lies the difficulty”? It’s usually used to describe a stumbling block in your path or the central dilemma. But while it’s associated with Hamlet, did you know that this phrase was not coined by Shakespeare? I’ll finish this thought in a moment…

Things that are funny are almost always fun. But things that are fun are not always funny. There’s the rub. Most of us, I’ve found, confuse these two…to our unfortunate detriment.

What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a non-toxic system of medicine used to treat a wide variety of health concerns.

It is based on the Law of Similars and potentization. Basically, the Law of Similars is the premise that because exposure to a given substance can cause specific symptoms in someone who is healthy, then that substance – given as a homeopathic remedy – will stimulate the body’s own curative powers to overcome similar symptoms during illness.
